We鈥檝e got more than 450 people working in and around the Pacific Rim. The people in our Hawaii office say that the culture is part of who they are and what they do. Here鈥檚 why they love it.

1. The Clients

鈥淥ne of the things that makes Hawaii unique鈥攁nd our office here鈥攊t鈥檚 the only place on earth where you have a combatant command and all of the service component headquarters all in the same location, within 5 miles,鈥� says Principal Bob Lietzke. And because our work in Hawaii is so heavily dependent on the U.S. military, almost all of the staff have connections there. Many are in their second career after serving in uniform, some are military spouses.

2. The Outdoors

Here, 鈥渂oard meetings鈥� are literal鈥攖hat means paddle boards and surfboards. That鈥檚 how the leadership team gets things done, says Hawaii office lead and Senior Vice President Dennis Gibson. 鈥淲e have to talk any way but it鈥檚 a way to get outside and enjoy being in Hawaii.鈥� And because of the time difference, many staff members will be out and on a bike or running trail by 5 a.m., hitting the office at 8.

3. The 鈥淥hana鈥� Spirit

The word means 鈥渇amily鈥� in Hawaiian. 鈥淭he further away you get from home, the closer鈥� you become to your co-workers, says military spouse and Lead Associate Regina Irwin. 鈥淵ou spend more time together鈥攑otlucks, Thanksgiving鈥攜ou can鈥檛 just drive down the road鈥� to your relatives鈥�, she says. Ohana extends to the leadership team鈥檚 unique challenge of placing lots of employees like Regina whose spouses are deployed to the area鈥攖hey鈥檒l always have a place at 蘑菇视频 Allen.聽
