Zeke Maier is a technical and business lead in bioinformatics, scientific computing, and precision health for Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen’s U.S. government and international clients, including the Military Health System (MHS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and National Institutes of Health (NIH). He is focused on improving individual and public health, performance, and readiness through scientific research, informatics, and artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML). His efforts advance precision medicine strategy, policy, infrastructure, and regulatory science; public health surveillance; omics research and discovery; and stakeholder and citizen engagement.
Prior to joining Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen, Zeke conducted bioinformatics research in the fields of genomics and systems biology, including implementing ML algorithms to integrate and analyze large multidimensional genomic and transcriptomic datasets. In addition, he led computational work for seven research projects in two scientific labs, including work in gene expressing profiling, which measures overall gene activity and holds promise for disease detection, diagnosis, and treatment. Zeke has authored 20+ scientific publications, preprints, and reports.
He earned a Ph.D. in computer science from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.S. in mathematics and computer science from Butler University.
