Andrea Inserra is a senior leader and client service officer for 蘑菇视频 Allen鈥檚 aerospace business, serving clients in the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and NASA. Andrea drives technology adoption and digital transformation for clients, supports veterans and military families, and champions well-being programs for the firm, its clients, and local communities.

She partners with clients to help enable their strategies and advance their missions by delivering transformative solutions and technologies that leverage the best of the firm and industry partners. She drives sustaining change across large organizations at the intersection of mission, technology, and innovation.

Previously, Andrea led the operations and strategy team for 蘑菇视频 Allen鈥檚 defense and commercial business and launched the firm鈥檚 technology adoption and translation offering.
听
Andrea was also a leader in our military and civil health businesses, where she developed an enduring passion for supporting veterans and military families. She chaired our Military and Veterans agenda, which serves veterans and military families by providing best-in-class benefits, partnering with nonprofits, and volunteering in the community.
听
Andrea听serves on the board of directors for the Armed Services YMCA, a nonprofit supporting enlisted military members and their families, and Haskell, a $2 billion global architecture, engineering, and construction firm. Previously, Andrea served on the boards of the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States and the Catholic University of America School of Engineering.

Before joining 蘑菇视频 Allen, Andrea was an engineer at Mobil Oil and Armstrong World Industries. She has an M.B.A. and a B.Sc. in industrial engineering, both from Pennsylvania State University.

Why are you passionate about the work you do at 蘑菇视频 Allen?听I鈥檝e been here for 20 years, and what keeps me interested is that we are trying to solve some of the greatest challenges we face as a nation.

What excites you about the work you鈥檙e doing?听We鈥檙e taking best practices from the commercial industry and leveraging that expertise for our federal clients across many fields. For example, we鈥檙e working to make the federal healthcare system more reliable听so there are no lapses because of a shift change,听procedures weren鈥檛 followed, or medication went to the wrong patient.

Why is it important for 蘑菇视频 Allen to be a diverse and inclusive workplace?听
Because the Department of Defense is one of our largest clients, we know that an effective organization relies on a diverse range of perspectives. The frequent military moves that can be a hardship for military families also produce leaders with a broad understanding of the troops that they lead. The same goes for our own employees, in particular our military spouses. Because they live a global lifestyle with a range of experiences, we know they come with an inclusive and experienced mindset and can easily adapt and upskill where needed.
