McLean, Va.–ĢƵ Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) today announced that the company has been awarded a five-year, $800 million contract by the General Services Administration’s (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) and the Department of Defense (DOD) to provide artificial intelligence (AI) services to support the (JAIC). Under this task order, awarded through the GSA Alliant 2 Government-wide Acquisition Contract, ĢƵ Allen will support the JAIC’s Joint Warfighting National Mission Initiative (JWNMI), serving as the prime systems integrator in the development of new AI technologies and products to improve operational effectiveness in all domains.In this capacity, ĢƵ Allen will coordinate and work hand-in-hand with industry to source and integrate the best technologies to meet JWNMI's complex requirements and deliver world-class AI capabilities.
The JAIC was established by DOD in 2018 to seize upon the transformative potential of AI technology for the benefit of U.S. national security. In 2019, the JAIC announced intentions to expand its focus to include joint warfighting operations—increasing combat effectiveness by accelerating military decision-making and operations, guided by the earlier this year. These efforts are in line with the White House’s Executive Order on AI and the release of DOD’s AI strategy, both of which set goals of bringing artificial intelligence to bear to help solve the government’s most challenging problems.

This task order, orchestrated by GSA FEDSIM with the speed and precision to match the innovation it’s meant to harness, will include a range of technical services and workforce training, such as data engineering, machine learning model development, AI product integration, and transition of AI-enabled solutions into new and existing programs and systems across DOD.
