Pat Biltgen, Ph.D., is a Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen leader focused on artificial intelligence and mission engineering, particularly for the firm’s defense, intelligence, and space clients. His areas of expertise include aerospace engineering, systems engineering, data science, and analytic software development.Â
Prior to joining Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen, Pat served as director of analytics and data services for Perspecta. In that role, he developed an innovative prototype application for monitoring treaty violations using open source information, and performed trade studies for new intelligence and analytic systems.Â
His previous experience includes working BAE Systems for 6 years and serving as a graduate researcher at Georgia Tech. At BAE, Pat worked on activity-based intelligence software. He later co-authored a textbook on the subject—Activity-Based Intelligence: Principles and Applications. At Georgia Tech, he developed trade study visualization and collaboration tools to help decision makers understand the impacts of their choices in real time. In 2018, he received the Edwin Land Industry Award from the Intelligence and National Security Alliance. He also serves on the board of directors for the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation.
Pat has a bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree, and a doctorate in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech, where he studied under Professor Dimitri Mavris at the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory.Â
