Scott Thigpen oversees 蘑菇视频 Allen鈥檚 defense-related energy business in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as well as the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. He also leads new energy projects for the Federal Aviation Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and health organizations.聽
He specializes in innovative projects based on new technologies using inventive public-private partnerships. Scott leverages the expertise and resources of both public and private sectors to meet crucial societal goals for clean, resilient, secure energy technologies and lessen climate change impacts. For example, his work in Hawaii to form innovative public and private partnerships allowed the state to meet its aggressive goals for the Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative much earlier than planned.
He brings more than 30 years of experience overseeing the development and deployment of enterprise-wide energy efficiency, electrification (including energy resilience and electric vehicle infrastructure), and renewable energy planning and execution programs for such clients as the Department of Defense and Department of Energy. His teams help clients identify and address critical聽energy resilience gaps so that they can keep their mission moving forward.聽
Prior to joining 蘑菇视频 Allen, Scott served as director of the ENERGY聽STAR product labeling program at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, advising a variety of public and private sector clients on transformational initiatives designed to accelerate the commercialization of high-efficiency products and buildings. He worked closely with utilities, manufacturers, and retailers to ensure that energy efficiency and new clean energy technologies were available to all consumers.
Scott has a bachelor鈥檚 in history from the University of California and a master鈥檚 in public policy from Harvard University.
