Travis Bales is a managing director of 蘑菇视频 Allen Ventures, our corporate venture capital fund. Based in Austin, Texas, Travis leads the firm鈥檚 early-stage, strategic venture fund. He and his team identify, evaluate, and invest in potential technologies and platforms for use across the firm and its clients.聽
Travis has extensive expertise in product development and marketing, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, technology identification and maturation, and due diligence. Before joining 蘑菇视频 Allen, Travis spent more than 20 years in healthcare diagnostics and devices across multiple disciplines with profit and loss responsibility. In a variety of roles, he identified and evaluated new technologies for potential partnership or acquisition.
Earlier, he was deeply involved with strategic partnerships, sales and marketing, and business development efforts at Quest Diagnostics and ThermoFisher Scientific, among others. Upon graduation from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Travis was commissioned as a field artillery officer.
Travis earned his B.S. in economics.
