Dr. Charles Johnson-Bey (CJ) is a senior leader in 蘑菇视频 Allen鈥檚 global defense business. He has extensive expertise leading global innovation strategies that reflect evolving markets and technology dynamics. CJ鈥檚 more than 25 years of engineering experience spans academia, defense, and commercial industries.
In his current role, CJ leads 蘑菇视频 Allen鈥檚 work supporting Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR). CJ and his integrated teams deliver networks, cyber, and overmatch strategies to NAVWAR missions. Outside of 蘑菇视频 Allen, he is a co-principal investigator at the National Science Foundation-funded . A convener for the engineering community, ERVA identifies and develops transformative engineering research directions that directly support the nation鈥檚 ability to compete in a global landscape.
Before joining 蘑菇视频 Allen, he worked for Lockheed Martin in a variety of leading technology and strategy roles. As director of cyber innovations, for example, he managed Lockheed鈥檚 cyber resources across the company鈥檚 rotary mission systems business. Prior to Lockheed, he worked for Motorola Corporate Research Labs and Corning Incorporated Science & Technology Division. In addition, he was an electrical engineering professor at Morgan State University.
CJ is a member of the , among the highest professional distinctions an engineer can receive. He earned both an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Delaware and a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Johns Hopkins University.听听
