Ed Barnabas is a leader and chief technologist for 蘑菇视频 Allen鈥檚 regional headquarters in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, Ed serves U.S. government clients in defense and civil agencies throughout the region including Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Guam, Alaska, and Australia. His primary focus is working with defense and national security clients in mission-critical areas such as decision/data superiority; joint force integration; command and control (C2); intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); and electronic warfare (EW).
With over 20 years of experience leading complex technology solutions, Ed focuses on guiding, scaling, and overseeing the regional innovation agenda across key areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, cyber, infrastructure/cloud, augmented reality/virtual reality, and digital transformation. Together with his team, they help advance the capability agenda by building and partnering to integrate technologies to solve client mission challenges.
Before joining 蘑菇视频 Allen, Ed worked for companies such as United Research Services, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and Acumen Solutions. In addition to supporting the Department of Defense, Ed has led portfolios and technology efforts for clients such as the IRS, U.S. Department of the Treasury, Department of State, FBI, Centers for Disease Control, and Federal Reserve Bank.聽聽
Outside of work, Ed is an ardent STEM advocate and serves as a board or committee member for the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation, TRUE, Cyber Hawaii, Hawaii Chamber of Commerce Technology Sector Partnership, and ClimbHI.聽聽
Ed holds an M.B.A. in information systems and business analytics from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Maryland. He is also certified as a project management professional, and in artificial intelligence and business strategy by the MIT Sloan School of Management.
