Tony Gaidhane is a leader in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen’s European Union commercial work. Based in the firm’s Netherlands office in The Hague, Tony leads our market-facing cyber capabilities for commercial clients in Europe. He delivers solutions in security strategy, security operations, managed services, incident response, cyber analytics, and data protection to solve our clients’ most complex challenges.

Tony has more than 20 years of experience providing cybersecurity advisory services in industries such as energy, finance, retail, automotive, healthcare, and technology with a focus on strategy, design, and implementation of cyber threat intelligence, threat defense operations, attack surface reduction, cybersecurity strategy, and supply chain cybersecurity.

Before joining Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen in 2013, Tony assisted client organizations in their fight against cyber threats from advanced global adversaries in his work as a senior manager of cybersecurity advisory services at Accenture. Prior to that role, Tony served as a director with a Fortune 30 health insurance company where he created and managed many leading cybersecurity capabilities.

In addition to several certifications in the areas of information security, auditing, information privacy, and project management, Tony holds an M.B.A. from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He also has a bachelor of science and a master of science in computer science from Nagpur University and Texas Tech University, respectively.

Why are you passionate about cybersecurity? Cybersecurity is about striking the balance between protecting the business and enabling it to thrive. I’m passionate about helping clients transform their cyber-defense programs since it usually involves a multidisciplinary approach to maturing processes, changing behaviors, and improving the use of technology.

What are some of the greatest challenges facing cybersecurity? As cyber attackers routinely target our clients using weaponization techniques known only to nation-state actors with sophisticated technology, their existence hinges on the ability to detect and respond to these attacks faster and with precision. In addition, clients are faced with the burden of reducing their large and porous attack surfaces while cyber adversaries continue to gain an advantage.Ìý

How does your work change the world? My work at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen aims to mature our clients’ cyber-defense operations by providing new vision, direction, and processes for faster detection and response enabled with automation and advanced cyber analytics. We do this by bringing together the best of our talent from a range of backgrounds to enable our clients to detect cyber incidents faster, increase coverage across more of their operating environment, drive operational efficiency through improved processes and technology, and implement advanced cyber capabilities to withstand even the most advanced adversaries.
