Kevin Weinstein is a digital engineering leader in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen’s defense business, where he leads a team that works to solve a wide variety of complex client problems in areas ranging from cybersecurity; communications systems integration; and positioning, navigation, and timing. He focuses on leveraging model-based approaches and introducing advanced systems engineering tools and techniques across client markets.Â
During his more than 16 years with Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen, Kevin has also worked with our civil government, health, strategic innovation, and aerospace clients. He frequently reviews and authors technical solutions for complex proposals, including some valued at over $1 billion. Previously, Kevin led a 15-person team across six simultaneous workstreams to publish over 30 enterprise design patterns for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Contributing to the affiliation and professional growth and development of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen’s workforce, Kevin leads the engineering and science functional capability team for our aerospace business, focused on engaging, attracting, developing, and retaining technical talent. He is an instructor for the firm’s introductory course on model-based systems engineering (MBSE), and he led the development of our on-demand MBSE overview course.Â
Kevin earned a B.S. in systems engineering and economics from the University of Virginia. He has an M.S. in systems architecture and engineering with a concentration in management from the University of Southern California. He is also a graduate of the Stanford LEAD program, which awarded him the Impact Award and intellectual contribution awards for Strategic Leadership, A New Type of Leader, Negotiation, Design Thinking, and Mobilizing for Successful Change.Â
Outside of Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Allen, Kevin is deputy sector director for the Americas for the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). He holds numerous certifications, including as an INCOSE certified systems engineering professional, an INCOSE/Defense Acquisition University certified systems engineering acquisition professional, and a project management professional.
